Experience is key to quality. Dr. Carlin received his fellowship training from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and is an American Board Certified Vascular Surgeon with over 25 years of experience.
An American Board Certified physician is someone who demonstrates a mastery of knowledge and skills through continued education, meeting nationally recognized standards for experience and skills to provide the highest quality of care. For more information about American Board Certification and how it benefits patients, please visit the American Board of Medical Specialist website.
Fellowship trained physicians are those who completed further training in a specialty beyond their completed residency. From a patient’s perspective, that means the physician has chosen to focus intensively on a specific part of the body, so they understand it inside and out.
