Childbirth Education For Parents Delivering at Oneida Health
Being a new parent is full of new adventures. The purpose of our Childbirth classes is to provide you and your partner with a foundation of knowledge for delivery and care of baby and mom after delivery.
We host Childbirth classes every month for our expecting parents. Each class is broken into two consecutive Thursdays from 5:30-7:30 PM
All classes are free, priority is given to parents delivering at the Lullaby Center at Oneida Health Hospital.

What Should I Expect?
Our Child Birth Educators enjoy providing our expecting parents with a very personal experience. We are focused on providing a very broad range of educational resources as well as helping address individual questions you may have based on your personal circumstance.
Some key areas we will cover:
- Anatomy and bodily changes during pregnancy
- When to come to the hospital- labor and warning signs
- Stages of labor
- Managing pain during labor
- Vaginal and Cesarean deliveries- what to expect
- Newborn and Maternal care after delivery
- Feeding your baby
We will also provide our expectant parents with a tour of the Lullaby Center so that on your day you are more familiar with your environment.

How do I schedule a class?
Scheduling for our Child Birth classes is as easy as giving us a call. Classes do book up quickly as we limit the class size so that our Child Birth Educators can provide a very personal experience. Plan on taking the class a month or two before you are due.
