Quick Care to add Second Location in Camden

oneidahcNews, Press Release

Oneida, NY – In early July, Oneida Healthcare plans to continue its presence with primary care access in the Camden area with the opening of a Quick Care location at 9562 State Route 13 near Tops Supermarket. Quick Care will be located in the office space that was previously occupied by Oneida Medical Associates (OMA), a primary care office which announced in April that it would be closing its Camden location.

With a location already well established in Oneida at 357 Genesee Street, Quick Care provides a walk-in medical solution for non-emergency care, with no appointments needed. With laboratory and X-Ray on site, common conditions that can be treated are colds, minor cuts, sprains, back pain, rash, sinus pain, vomiting, allergic reactions, ear infections, minor broken bones, sore throat, and stitches. They do not provide treatment for conditions related to chest pain, difficulty breathing or major trauma.

“We are pleased to be continuing with primary care access to patients in Camden with the addition of our second Quick Care location,” said President and CEO, Gene Morreale. “This model of care has been very beneficial to the Oneida community and we believe it will continue the presence of local access to care for those who live in Camden and surrounding areas.” Oneida Healthcare already provides imaging and a lab draw station at the same Camden location.

Initially, Oneida Healthcare plans to have Quick Care in Camden open during the week with the goal of being open seven days a week in the future. “The ultimate goal is to replicate the access that our Oneida location provides to patients,” said Morreale. “We have been able to retain several of OMA’s office and nursing staff, so patients will see some familiar faces, and we will be aggressively recruiting for more Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners to expand the hours with a long-term vision of also providing primary care at a future date,” he added. The Oneida location is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm and Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. They are not open on major holidays.

In addition to providing patients with convenience, Quick Care is an affordable option for receiving care. “Quick Care operates similar to a primary care office. This type of care with most insurers dictates a lower copay for patients compared to an Urgent Care or Emergency Department,” said Morreale.

More information regarding the official opening date and hours of the Camden Quick Care location are to follow in a future press release. For more details about Quick Care, visit www.yourquickcare.com.
