Oneida Health Hosts Weekly Caregiver Support Sessions This May
A safe space for guidance, connection, and healing
Oneida, NY — This May, Oneida Health, in partnership with Hospice & Palliative Care, is offering a four-week Caregiver Support Series to provide emotional support, education, and practical tools for caregivers and those navigating the challenges of serious illness.
Taking place every Wednesday in May from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM in Classroom A at Oneida Health Hospital (321 Genesee St. Oneida), these in-person sessions are designed to bring caregivers together in a warm, understanding environment where they can share experiences, learn new coping strategies, and feel supported in their caregiving journey.
The series will cover a range of topics, including:
-
Managing stress and caregiver burnout
-
Understanding the emotional toll of serious illness
-
Navigating healthcare decisions
-
Finding balance between caregiving and self-care
“Caregiving can be incredibly rewarding, but it’s also emotionally and physically demanding,” said Tina Yelle, Hospice Bereavement Coordinator. “These sessions are a chance for caregivers to pause, breathe, and feel empowered with resources and community.”
Whether you’re caring for a parent, spouse, friend, or patient, this series is open to anyone looking for support, connection, and insight.
